Neon arena
#0A0A14 · #8B5CF6 · #39FF14
Purple and toxic green on near-black pop on dark stream overlays and in Discord's dark theme. The near-black outline keeps the mascot readable on light backgrounds too.
Team red
#14080E · #D7263D · #F4F4F4 · #FFB400
Classic sports energy for competitive teams. Red and gold read well on jerseys and in bracket graphics, and the dark outline holds the silhouette together at small sizes.
Ice and steel
#0D1B2A · #1B98E0 · #E0FBFC
Cool blues for a calmer, precise feel, good for tactical-shooter teams and relaxed streams. Easy to keep consistent across overlays, panels and banners.

Teko
Condensed and athletic, made for jersey names, roster graphics and overlay labels where horizontal space is tight.
Gaming & Esports
Orbitron
Wide, futuristic letters for sci-fi and tech-themed brands. Best for short names; long ones get very wide.
Gaming & Esports
Archivo Black
Heavy and blunt, so a team name stays readable over busy gameplay in an overlay or a highlight thumbnail.

Clichés to avoid
- Characters, weapons or logos from the games you play: they're the publisher's property, and platforms act on takedown requests.
- Thin outlines and small details in the mascot: at chat-avatar size they merge into a blob.
- Wolves, dragons and skulls in the default pose: so many teams use them that yours disappears in a bracket list.
- The team name inside the emblem: put it beside or below so the icon works alone as an avatar.
- Copying a pro team's colors and layout: it confuses fans and invites a takedown.
Designing a gaming & esports logo that works
Gaming logos live mostly on screens at very different sizes: the avatar on Twitch, YouTube and Kick, the Discord server icon, the corner of a stream overlay, starting-soon screens, tournament brackets, banners and thumbnails. Then come jerseys, merch and stickers. The smallest uses decide whether the mascot works, so test those first.
A good mascot reads by silhouette alone: a three-quarter view of a head, a thick outer outline, few interior details and two or three strongly contrasting colors. If you stream under a persona, give the mascot one signature item, such as a cap, a visor or a scar, so viewers recognize it in a clip.
Questions
Frequently asked questions
Can I use a character from my favorite game in my logo?
Not as your brand. Game characters, weapons, maps and logos belong to the publisher, and using them in a team or channel logo can lead to takedowns or strikes, especially once you sell merch. Create an original mascot inspired by a mood or theme instead.
Will a mascot logo work as a tiny avatar?
Only if it's designed for it: a head rather than a full body, a strong outline and few interior details. Test at 32 px and smaller, and if the eyes and outline still read, it works. Many teams keep a simplified mascot for avatars and a more detailed one for jerseys and banners.
What files do I need for jerseys, merch and overlays?
Jersey and merch suppliers ask for vector files, while overlays, Discord and stream panels need transparent PNGs. Every package includes SVG, PDF and EPS, PNG up to 5000 px and black and white versions, and Pro adds profile pictures for eight networks and a social media kit.
Should a streamer logo be a mascot or a wordmark?
Most streamers benefit from both. A mascot or icon gives you an avatar, a sticker and a corner bug for the overlay, and a wordmark puts your handle on panels, thumbnails and merch. If you show your face on stream, an icon built on a signature item can work better than a cartoon of yourself.
Can I animate my logo for stream alerts and intros?
Yes. Vector files with clearly separate parts, such as a mascot head, a shield and a wordmark, are the easiest starting point for motion-graphics or streaming tools. Get the static version solid first, because animation won't fix a mascot that doesn't read at avatar size.
